CHRISTINA GAILLARD


 

Originally from Los Angeles and now based in Mexico, Christina Gaillard is a versatile music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. She has scored a wide range of projects, including the 2024 documentary Survivor Made, where she also served as music supervisor working with music by FKA Twigs. Christina has also contributed sound design to numerous documentaries and art installations around the world.

Her compositions have been featured by major production companies including Paramount Music, BMG Production Music, and Universal Music Group. she frequently contributes to film, television, radio, and podcast projects with various companies including documentaries for Topic, VICE, and The Washington Post, as well as podcasts for Radiotopia and CBC. In addition to composing, Christina performs live with various artists.

Christina is one-half of the LA-based R&B synth pop duo HIPS, which has been featured in The New Yorker, New York Magazine, and The Guardian. She produced HIPS’s self-titled debut album and has produced and co-written numerous other albums, including Crown Plaza’s self-titled release and the critically acclaimed Sundowner by HT Heartache. A granddaughter of jazz legend Slim Gaillard and niece of Marvin Gaye, Christina has been making music since the age of two.
